Taxi Deregulation

Had enough? Taxi driving becoming a pain? Stuck in the rut because you cannot afford to give it up as the cab still needs paying for?

I know how you feel because I’ve been there for too long but now I’ve found a light at the end of the tunnel!

Deregulation of the taxi trade was the great idea of some idiot that did not rely on the trade for his living but had to wait for a taxi.

“We need more taxis on the streets then I won’t have to wait as long” was obviously his thoughts for himself BUT what about the taxi drivers…no thought for them. Taxi numbers have increased dramatically BUT takings are now sometimes (more than not) below minimum wage with no fall-back as drivers are self employed.

To make up the wage, longer hours are now required and ‘double shifts’ are becoming the norm for a lot of drivers which does not do road safety any favours.

“Get another job” I hear you say (not always that easy) but what about the vehicle? New drivers were given the impression that a fortune was to be had in taxiing so laid out a LOT of money on cabs only to find so many people having the same idea. Takings dropped and dropped, the cab still needed paying for as did the mortgage etc.,but the value dropped in their cab investment leaving only the choice of working double the hours or working a job on days and taxiing at night with a few hours sleep in between. Taxis devalue quite fast so the resale value can be less than what is owed…negative equity.

Mr Idiots theory on this is that the numbers will eventually equal out with ‘survival of the fittest’ but what about the poor sod that came off the unemployed, got a cab and is now worse off than ever before with a bigger debt!!

Never mind….as long as Mr Idiot doesn’t have to wait.

Most people think that taxi drivers make a fortune…..think again. With the overheads and high fuel cost etc., most drivers only make a living similar to minimum wage workers unless they work longer hours and there we come back to road safety. HGV drivers are limited in the number of hours they drive but not so taxi drivers…..there are a lot of tired drivers out there!!

But what about the light at the end of my tunnel?? Internet marketing!!

It does work,,,you might not be able to retire from driving immediately as it takes a long time to make a good wage BUT making extra money is VERY possible if you follow a system.

Now I only drive part time, work from home and enjoy life.

GIVE IT A TRY>>>YOU CAN BE BETTER OFF!!
